Conversations, model selection, attachments, and how to get better answers from the assistant.
The assistant is available from any page in the dashboard — click the sparkle button in the bottom-right corner, or open it in the sidebar or full-screen layout using the controls in its header.
Every exchange is saved as a conversation. Open the list icon in the assistant header to switch between past conversations, start a new one, or delete one you no longer need. Deleting a conversation removes its messages too.
The assistant sees the most recent messages in the current conversation, not your entire history. Starting a new conversation for a new topic usually produces sharper answers than continuing a long, unrelated thread.
The model picker sits in the chat toolbar. The available models come from your app's configuration, and the choice is remembered between sessions.
Faster, smaller models are a good default for short questions and drafting. Larger models earn their cost on reasoning-heavy work — analysis, structured rewriting, anything where a subtle mistake is expensive.
Use the plus button to attach files, or drag them onto the attachment panel. Uploaded files are stored and referenced in your message, so you can ask questions about their contents. Image attachments render inline in the conversation.
Your plan sets a maximum file size — you will see an error rather than a silent failure if a file is too large.
Three habits make the biggest difference:
Say what the output is for. "Draft a follow-up email to a customer who churned last month" beats "write an email".
Give the constraints up front. Length, tone, audience, and what to avoid. The assistant follows explicit instructions far more reliably than implied ones.
Correct in place. If an answer is close, say what to change rather than rewriting your original prompt. The assistant has the previous answer in context and will revise it.
If your browser supports speech recognition, a microphone button appears next to the send button. Click it to dictate, click again to stop. The transcript lands in the input box, where you can edit it before sending.
